First TV and Film Projects in Development
Five By Five Media, AG ("5x5"), an innovator in TV and Film production, commenced trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on December 3, 2008, (Frankfurt: FYF) (ISIN: CH0045977755). U.S. operations are conducted through a subsidiary, Five By Five Media, Inc.
5x5 was co-founded by Executive Producers Craig Armstrong (Survivor, SuperNanny, Extreme Makeover - Home Edition) and Tod Mesirow (Monster Garage, Mythbusters, Smash Lab, Wired Science, Top Gear/USA); film writer and director Mark Steilen (Weiners, Stuck On You, The Settlement); and lawyer and producer Guy Zajonc (DIVE! 3D).
5x5 is developing the Mark Steilen feature film, comedy script "Basketcase." The script, originally written for Warner Brothers, is being recast and filming is projected for Spring 2009. Also in film development is the original feature film script "The Black Mirror," a suspense/horror film written by award-winning screenwriter and novelist Diana Wagman(the AFI Mary Pickford Prize 1988, the PEN/West Award for best fiction, 2001 for her novelSpontaneous).
A diverse slate of television non-fiction formats is in deep development, spanning various realms, including automotive, engineering, sports, outer space, history and the oceans. Armstrong and Mesirow bring their expertise to bare in creating shows that yield a rich experience for the viewer that captivates global audiences by delving into group dynamics, building things, blowing them up, and finding out more about the human condition and the world around us in a compelling and entertaining fashion.
