Five By Five Media, AG ("5x5") (FWB:FYF) (ISIN:CH0045977755), has reached agreements in principle with EvApollo Media, GmbH of Munich, Germany, and Struans Group, Inc., of Carlsbad, California, to fund and produce the Mark Steilen feature film comedy Basketcase.

EvApollo and its Apollo Media Group (www.apollomedia.de) have produced over 80 films since 1999, including the internationally acclaimed film Whale Rider, winner of 29 awards worldwide and resulting in an Oscar-nominated performance for best actress.

CEO George Malasek and President of Entertainment Dave Grayson, Jr., head the film finance company, Struans Group, Inc. Born and raised in Munich, Germany, and a 17-year veteran in media, Mr. Malasek was part of the early-stage funding of Lions Gate as well as the acquisition and development of various broadcast companies worldwide. Dave Grayson, Jr., entered business finance and entertainment after a 5-year career in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns and San Diego Chargers.

In Basketcase two contestants must sink a 3-point shot during halftime of the big game in front of a packed house. One contestant picked from the live audience is a natural shooter in desperate need of cash. The second contestant, drawn from the at-home viewers, is agoraphobic and hasn't left his apartment in years. Writer/Director Mark Steilen (The Settlement, Stuck on You) has crafted, and is set to direct, this hilarious family comedy. Principal filming is tentatively set for May of 2009 in Spokane, Washington.
