RockBridge Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: RBE) today announced the completion of a compilation report of all published corporate and government data within the company's claims, and within the immediate vicinity of RockBridge's Cross Hills property, prospective for rare earth elements (REE) covering 3,200 acres in southern Newfoundland. The report was completed at the request of RockBridge by David Walsh B Sc (Hons) of St John's, Newfoundland.
Previous work on the property was conducted by numerous companies mainly for tin, tungsten and fluorine as well as some uranium exploration, however none was reported done for REE. The Walsh report concluded that the Cross Hills property is known to host rare earth element mineralization as previous work done for the Newfoundland and Labrador Dept. of Mines & Energy has uncovered zirconium values up to 2% with correlative niobium anomalies. A recent government till geochemical survey has uncovered anomalous REE values in the vicinity of previous mineralization as well as uncovering REE values in areas of no previously identified mineralization. The Report confirms that the claims have the potential to host REE and RockBridge will be adopting some or all of the Reports' recommended 6 step program to optimize a drilling program.
RockBridge President, Gary Mathiesen, stated, "We await the assay result from the surface samples which have been provided to the lab for analysis. This is a large property which, as this report confirms, has shown some good REE results. We look forward to narrowing down the best targets for a planned drilling program."
